Course and Credit Options for
World History
Courses are taught from a Biblical Perspective on a separate domain which offers live chat, discussion boards, and bandwidth intensive multimedia to registered students that may be easily individualized per student needs.

New! Are you a school administrator with a student in need of history credit? Consider subcontracting.

To meet your individual needs, you may select one of the following options:

Non-Credit, Free Option (There is no need of support from the instructor.)

Take as much or as little of the hyperhistory.net course as you desire. Contact information is at the bottom of the page. Basically, you read what you want and take auto scoring quizzes over the articles. There are scoring guides for essays you may write as you follow the suggested syllabus. Discussion forums with other students have been on line since August, 2006. This option is feasible considering these guidelines for the free course.

Non-Credit, Paid Options: If you don't need official high school credit...

1. For $125 per semester Mr. N. will guide you through this course with individualized help on research and essay writing with will increase your potential for success on the AP World History Exam in May. There is more to consider before selecting this instructor support option and applying to the instructor who may have space available to successful applicants.

2. For about $460 per year, The Potter's School (TPS) offers a live on-line class for 90 minutes each week, chatting with other students during lecture/discussions. The curriculum is free for this "World History in Biblical Perspective" whereas other TPS courses may require the purchase of textbooks. Registration runs from mid April through July of each year with preference given to those living outside the USA. After your registration with TPS, you are to apply to hyperhistory.net's enhanced course.

Credit, Paid Option
(Northstar Academy is highly respected, however, just because they are "accredited" does not guarantee a public high school will accept their credit. Check first !)

3. If you would like to participate at your own pace (without sychronous videoconferencing) then for $510 per year, Northstar Academy makes available one high school credit. NSA has "open enrollment". You have two semesters to finish the course from the time you register.

4. For $40, you can simply take the year end exam and, if you pass, NSA will grant one year of regular World History credit on their High School transcript. If you are taking another NSA class and pass any of the College Board's Advanced Placement exams with a 3 or better, then NSA may grant you a year of credit for that AP subject even if you did not take this class through them.

As you must pay in advance, you are advised to carefully read the syllabus requirements and sufficiently explore this site prior to registration. If you attend public school, check with your high school advisor on what requirements you need to fulfill. Students considering to take the AP exam should visit our prerequisites and recommendations.

A Scholarship Rebate of up to $100 may be available from the instructor. It is granted based on student merit, i.e., grades, community service, recommendation, and financial hardship, i.e., the parents need the money more than the instructor does. After your tuition payment is received by a school listed above, you may contact the instructor regarding a possible Scholarship Rebate. There may also be the possibility of a "work-study" job.
