1820 Harriet Tubman was born in Bucktown, Maryland
1835 She got a concussion when a slave master hit her on the head for defending a slave.
1844 She married John Tubman, (he later died in 1867)
1849 Harriet run away from the Brodas plantation.
1850-1860 Harriet led about 300 slaves to freedom on the Underground Railroad.
1862-1864 Harriet was a nurse during the Civil War.
1865 all slaves were freed
1869 Harriet married Nelson Davis (who died in 1888)
1908 The Harriet Tubman Home opened in Auburn, New York.
1913 Harriet died in Auburn.
