Provide a summary of the history of Sudanese demographics. Discuss the impact of the Islamic government’s Sharia law from 1983 to today as they declared Holy Jihad against the non-Muslims of Sudan.
The Sudan government promotes an Islamic revival by way of Jihad. Christians in the south have had their villages destroyed by government bulldozers. Children meet outside of their school buildings for fear the building will be destroyed. Christian Churches are built again and again even after being bomb by governments helicopter gun ships. Two Million suffer from lack of food as the Khartoum government dictates where United Nations supplies are distributed. Soldiers of the NIF swear allegiance to the Koran. Their pay is in what they can steal from among the two million Christians in southern Sudan. Land mines put around water wells. Even if the impoverished victims find a way through, they find their water wells poisoned. Thousands of children are kidnapped by the soldiers. Girls are sold into prostitution and boys are forced to attend Islamic schools. Due to international pressure, albeit weak, the official government response has been to deny these abuses. Increasingly, government assistance falls into the hands of non-uniformed Arab militia who implement the religious war, continuing NIF government targeting of infidels.
As the largest nation in Africa, Islamic victory is crucial to supporting nations such as Iran. Since 1992, Iranian involvement in Sudan’s religious genocide against its citizens have catapulted a resistance movement in the south. The forced Islamization of southern Sudan has been denied by a ragtag army, the SPLA, who fight for a democracy, religious freedom, and their very survival.
Despite the United Nations support of the Sudan government, agencies such as “Frontline Fellowship” and “Samaritan’s Purse” have been able to get aid to where it is needed.
Much of the information contained in this report was gleaned from
The 1999 documentary film, “Persecution Holocaust” (Persecutionproject.org) which showed the bombed out churches, kidnapped villages, and children whipped to study of Islam. Hopefully this article stirs action against this continuing atrocity. Evil men prosper when, as Edmond Burke said, “Good men do nothing”.
